Project Description

- Using Movie Maker, make a VJ (Video Jockey) Movie

 

You will be creating a Movie we could play at the beginning of chapel when students are coming into the theatre. You will be the actors (VJ) introducing 3 music videos already made from last year.

 

In groups of 2, you will use 3 music videos that were created last year. You will create a Much Music Video Jockey session. You must become the characters to introduce these videos that you will be playing. VJ also give interesting information about the artist sing the song or discuss and issue that’s relevant to our world. They make it interesting. You might talk about GCA events and happenings, etc...

 

This project is learned through inquiry* and I (Mr. Schellenberg) am a resources for you.

   
 

Part A

  1. Choose a partner
  2. Choose 3 Video’s from those created last year
  3. Begin working on a 4 scripts:
    1. First, to start the first video
    2. 2nd, to end the first video and start the 2nd video
    3. 3rd, to end the 2nd video and start the 3rd video
    4. 4th, to end the 3rd video and end the show
   
 

Part B

  1. Go to the following link with your partner and learn about how to make better videos
  2. Record the 4 video skits
   
 

Part C

  1. Put the music videos together with the videos you made into Movie Maker
  2. You must have an 8 second introduction slide
  3. Must have introduction credits
  4. Must have closing credits

Flow

Movie moves nicely, theme is easily identified, audience displayed appreciation for the production

With a bit more editing and better clips selection, use of transition, etc. movie would be excellent.

Movie was nothing more than a series of clips joined together. Could have been created by turning the camera off and on.

There was no movie.

 

Mechanics

No misspelling, effects work well, music is well chosen and transitions are very smooth.

1 misspelled word; effects are work but are a little choppy.  Music fits the movie and transitions are smooth.

2 misspelled words; effects don’t work.  Music progresses poorly and transitions are abrupt.

More than 2 misspelled words; no effects, poorly chosen music with no relevance.
